Why
do businesses podcast?
As the Web has revolutionized the way we share information, podcasting has made
listening, viewing, and downloading multimedia files easier and more readily
available than ever before. Business podcasting is simply an extension of
podcasting as a whole, however it does exhibit some significant differences that
businesses can leverage over traditional mediums. Here are just a few examples
of how businesses are using podcasts today:
Educate or Inform:
· Information Podcast (Podcasts about business topics)
· Introduce new products
· Solve market problems
· Begin dialogue with customers
· Create brand awareness
Podcasts of business events such as:
· Stock holders meetings
· Speaker events
· Grand openings
Podcasts for business communications such as:
· Press releases
· Emails
· Newsletters (example: personal message from CEO)
· Intranet Podcast - Podcast to employees, suppliers, other stakeholders
What constitutes as a Business
Podcast?
In addition to the above uses, we define a business podcast as a syndicatealbe
audio or video file that acts as an extension of a business or corporation. New
uses and applications are being established all the time; therefore our above
definition is purposefully broad to capture future uses that may not have been
listed here.

What's
RSS?
In
a nutshell, RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows for easy sharing of content
throughout the web. Typically, websites that wish to share their website's
content, publish a RSS feed so that visitors can subscribe to it easily and
become aware of any updates as their published. For
a more comprehensive definition of RSS, check out wikipedia's definition by clicking
here.

review. Next click the orange icon on the right of the page. Click
on your favorite podcatcher or copy that URL location and past it into your podcatcher software. Note that in order to subscribe to a series, you will need iTunes audio player or another podcatcher software.
Why
must I have a business podcast to submit to your site?
Although there are many fine non-business
podcasts, it is our goal is to offer the
Web the largest collection of podcasts within business related topics and to enable
businesses to find business podcasts within their industry.
May
I submit a business podcast that I do not own or maintain?
(I.E. Suggest a site?)
No.
All websites/podcasts that are submitted must be volunteered by its rightful owner or by an affiliated
member of that organization. Furthermore,
we are not responsible for any liability caused by including or denying a link
by an unauthorized party.
Why
was my podcast denied?
We
receive hundreds of podcasts each week and make every effort to fully
evaluate each one. The most common
reason for not receiving a link within our directory is that the podcast/website
submitted isn't tailored to business. If you have reason to believe that your content should have been
accepted, you may either review our editorial guidelines and resubmit or
contact us for reconsideration.
For your
convenience, we have listed below the top 3 reasons for not getting approved:
-
Podcast is not
tailored to business
-
RSS feed does
not contain podcasts
-
Podcast is not in English
-
The podcast must not contain pornography or adult advertising, erotica or adult-only content, gratuitous or graphic violence, material that infringes on or violates someone’s rights, or material that promotes/disseminates illegal activities. We will not accept a podcast that promotes non-traditional medicines, utilizes multi-level marketing pyramid schemes or disseminates information that in the sole decision of iBizRadio is not consistent with acceptable and/or legal business practices or is not socially acceptable.
-
Podcast was
unavailable when we tried to access your RSS feed
Why
are my link details (title, description, url, etc.) different than when I
submitted them?
Although
we try to keep your link details intact, revisions are generally required by one
of our editors to improve the quality of the directory and listing.
Please note, that we have a very good understanding of the importance of
search engine optimization (SEO) and the value of your link's anchor text.
Thus we make an effort to ensure that your link provides maximum
benefit to your website.
I
recently received a notice that my listing was modified.
Why?
As
we continue to grow, we are constantly making changes to our category structure
and listing guidelines. If your
received a notice that your link was modified, it generally means that one of
our editors revised your listing details or a category that impacted your
listing.
May
I just submit a RSS or XML feed?
No,
however you may submit your
syndication feed along with your homepage when you submit to our site.

way is by contacting
us unless you are a member. Generally, we can remove your listing
